The APEC CEO Summit is Asia-Pacific's premier business event, and the attendance is by invitation only. It provides unparalleled opportunities for global business executives to engage in dialogue with APEC Leaders, high-level government officials and influential thought leaders.
With the theme of "Creating New Dynamism, Fostering A Shared Future", this year’s Summit will take place in Da Nang, Viet Nam, from 8th to 10th November 2017. The Summit will bring together APEC Leaders from the world’s most dynamic economies, speakers from the top global companies, international media moderators and over 1,000 CEOs from across the Asia-Pacific region. The program will feature three days of discussions, presentations and dialogue on a wide range of issues that promote economic dynamism and sustainable growth.
The APEC CEO Summit 2017 logo is a combination of modern and traditional aspects, symbolizing the spirit of co-operation and dynamism of APEC and Vietnamese culture.
APEC's spirit of cooperation and dynamism:
- 21 circular-turning curves symbolize 21 APEC member economies moving towards a dynamic, vibrant, and sustainable economic community.
- The circular motion is evocative of a rotating turbine representing APEC's dynamism.
The essence of Vietnamese culture
The image of linking 21 circular motioning curves creates the shape of a blooming lotus, which is a symbol of Vietnam representing a strong growth and the will of our land.
APEC has 21 members. The word “economies” is used to describe APEC members because the APEC cooperative process is predominantly concerned with trade and economic issues, with members engaging with one another as economic entities.
